Home Security Made Simple
A simple way to update your home security is to upgrade your door to meet British Standards specification.
All external doors should meet BS3621, which earns the recognisable Kitemark symbol if approved. This vital standard is the minimum performance required on locks and cylinders on external doors, and is acceptable to most home insurers.
With lock-snapping becoming a preferred method of burglary in the UK, accounting for 27% of all burglaries*, it’s vital to be aware of the TS007 standard. This protects against all known cylinder-attack methods, including lock-snapping. Security products must undergo rigorous testing to achieve three-star accreditation. To meet minimum requirements, the cylinder, or combination of the cylinder and door furniture, must reach an accumulative three stars.

Our Platinum TS007 3-star cylinder not only achieves three-star accreditation, but also offers superior strength for maximum protection. No additional door furniture is required, so you can rest assured your home is securely protected.
It’s also important to be aware of PAS24, the minimum-security standard for doors and windows in the UK, which forms part of security compliance in all new buildings.
Our new smart door lock, the Conexis® L1, which not only meets PAS24 standards, when in conjunction with a complete doorset, but the lock also allows you to configure, control and unlock your door all from your smartphone via Yale’s Bluetooth low energy App. Send virtual keys to family and friends and keep track of who comes and goes, offering you full control over your home’s security, whilst also providing industry- approved protection.
By updating your home security to meet British Standards requirements, you can rest assured that your property is securely protected to approved standards, offering protection where you want is most.
